Woke up early. Ate breakfast at home. Realta and I headed over to "Victory Heights" park to play a wee bit of hurling.

Well if the girls are playing it it would be named "Camogie" So we play hurling and camogie over and back for some time. Then it's time to leave for home.

Laze around and then it is time to head down to "Bumbershoot"

Park and go in.
We head over to the Mainstage to see "Crowded House"
http://www.crowdedhouse.com/

They play away and they are not my cup of tea so away I go. The song they are playing now is actually better but we leave anyway.
Next we go over to see a band called "The Cave Singers"
http://billions.com/artists/cavesingers/index.html

A nice band of three. They reminded me of The Waterboys a bit. A wee bit. They were good but could have done with a base player.
Then back to The Mainstage to see "The Shins"
http://www.theshins.com/I saw them earlier this year at the Paramont and liked them. Well they were just as good here.

From here we head over to see "The Avett Brothers"
http://www.theavettbrothers.com/

These guys were good too. I had a wee nap here after my lunch.
Actually before the Avet's started we got the end of the band before them. They were "The Honey Drippers All-Stars" They were good enough too. At least a few songs were good.
Had a wee bit of dessert along the way to the next show.

We went into the Bagley Wright Theater to see "The Moth: Sex, Drugs and Rock 'N' Roll Stories" Seattles Dan Savage was on stage when we went in. He was telling his story.

We were going to see the Janeane Garofalo bunch but the house was full. We popped over to see "Bert Jansch"
http://www.bertjansch.com/ on stage.
This Scottish fellow belted out ballads of stories. He even sang Brendan Behan's "The Auld Triangle.

Caught the end of "Common Market" on the Esurance Stage on Fisher Green. This Hip Hop band had the crowd going. They sounded great.
It was now a darkened evening as we waited for the band "Gogol Bordello"
http://www.gogolbordello.com/ to come on the stage.

They got a great interduction and on they came. This was one of the bands we had come to see here today. Out they came a bunch of raggle taggle gypsies and blasted into a Romanian punked up tune. After the next few songs they just seemed too repetitious. I had hoped for something like The Pogues or Flogging Molly. Left there not so happy with them. Stopped off at QFC for some provisions. It was a long long day of music. What a treat.
